Good change from novel. The need to work with main cast of the movie was really bringing quality of the novel down. I was wondering how he'll get that special award since in novel he got it for saving team leader from being french fried by lasers, but that plot change later serves so 2 Nemesis appear in the RE sequel, so... it is even more interesting if one read the novel

To help answer everybody on what was changed from the original novel. In the original novel, the characters are thrown into the world of a movie. They will go through several movies like Resident Evil which is the current arc to Aliens, Final Destination, etc. And the characters are aware of the movies, and will actually try to use their movie knowledge to help clear the mission. They will also meet movie characters that are sometimes their mission or even enemies.

In between each movie, they have the opportunity to upgrade themselves with fictional abilities, some of which are from the movies they cleared. Others are general fiction like vampires, and some others are superhero/anime abilities.

And what you are watching now is a copyright scrubbed version of the novel, where they are not literally in the movie, with movie characters as pivotal characters in their quests.

L.O.R.D. has way better cgi then journey and it came out in 2016..... its so good the characters look like the RL actors.... also San Ti has much better cgi..... the fact that they just released a remastered version of journey to immortality shows that they werent putting out the quality they could have been..... the tech is there but budget is everything.......that is what people dont seem to understand while they expect every show to have the best cgi out.....impossible

Well, it didn't help in my case because I did get shitted on when I tried playing Tabletop D&D. A guy somehow had this misconception that all Chinese people are from China and they all have this nefarious plan to spread CCP evil to the whole world or something. It made my experience extremely unpleasant and I am not even from China. In fact, I'm born elsewhere and never been to China until I'm like 24-25 for business trip.

It gets worse when my Dad got attacked when we were on holiday in one of the western countries where a... dude, kicked my dad and shouted "Go back to China!" (Caused my dad to stay in hospital for the rest of our time in the country) and because the person's skin color was too dark, the police couldn't catch him or something. For the last time, we're not even from China! My dad was born outside China, I was also born outside China!

Long story short, I did encounter extremely unpleasant racist treatment so I might get a bit aggressive. From personal experience when your parents gets kicked for being a certain race, you'll be more sensitive.
